Both of our stores began as Life is good Genuine Neighborhood Shoppes. Although we no longer exclusively sell Life is good® at our stores, many Genuine Neighborhood Shoppes exist around the country.
Life is good Genuine Neighborhood Shoppes are not franchises. They are independently owned retail stores solely dedicated to the Life is good® brand. Jake's in The Village opened in September 2007 and Jake's Summit followed in October 2009. Our family is delighted to have the opportunity to share good vibes with Kansas City in partnership with Life is good®.

| Who's Who Around Here |

Mason is the head optimist at Village Active, and can occasionally be found keeping shop over at *Whim. Mason was lured away from a lucrative and promising career in the pizza delivery industry by his mother to help spread good vibes at the stores. When he isn't working, Mason hangs out with his cat, Keebler, at their Prairie Village bachelor pad. The two enjoy watching the Royals, inventing new culinary creations and reading everything except romance novels. |
 |
Cassie is co-owner of the Village Active and *Whim, along with husband, David. Her passions are working and running dog agility with her dogs, Roxy and Bliss. Cassie's favorite things about working retail are spreading good vibes and visiting with people about their dogs. Cassie teaches dog training in her spare three hours each week at the dog agility training center she co-owns in Lee's Summit, K-9s in Motion. |

Christy, affectionately known as Moonbeam by Mason, stopped by Jake's in The Village during the very first week we were open to let us know how much she loved the Life is good® story and products. We decided right then that we wanted her on our team to help us spread good vibes in Kansas City. When Christy isn't busy at Village Active, she is a massage therapist and very hip Grandma. |
 |
Jane came to us by way of our hula-hoop contest. We figured anyone that can hula-hoop for more than 15 minutes should work at Village Active Performance Wear. Jane spreads cheer through pet therapy with Pets for Life and her dog, Kip (who closely resembles Rocket). Jane also works with senior adults as a fitness instructor. |
 |
Aimee keeps the party going at *Whim. She came to us as a SERIOUS Life is good fan. When she isn't spreading good vibes at the store, Aimee is a Girl Scout Leader, Wish Granter for Make-a-Wish Foundation, and PTA Mom. Special thanks to Aimee's girls, Madeline and Claire, who are always coming up with great ideas for the stores. Aimee's most useful skill is keeping Mason in line. |

Nancy is a bundle of energy and we count on her to come up with projects to keep us busy at *Whim. For a "woman of leisure", Nancy is the busiest person we know. Nancy squeezes helping at *Whim into her schedule between all of her scrapbooking, volunteer work, church activities, dog agility, and dance class commitments. In her free time, Nancy likes to shop, get ready for Christmas, and seriously spoil her Boston Terriers, Cosmo and Metro. |
